Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a full-time, on-site registration clerk to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule appointments. The role requires strong English communication, basic computer skills and experience with a 10-key calculator.

The position includes a nights schedule (630 PM–7 AM) and weekend coverage with a wage differential and potential incentive bonus. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/certification: None.
• Six months of customer service or medical office experience preferred.
• Proficiency with 10-key calculator and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients at registration with courteous, professional demeanor.
• Verify demographic and insurance information and collect copays and time of service payments.
• Schedule appointments and communicate cancellations or rescheduling.
• Answer and triage incoming calls; transfer messages as needed.
• Receive, sort and distribute mail; balance cash payments and petty cash.
