Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Experience with web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Strong typing and effective communication essential.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage.
• Obtains signatures on forms and manages documents for registration.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs.
• Maintains waiting area for smooth registration flow.
• Responds to patient concerns and safety issues as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Verifies insurance via real-time eligibility and applies to visits.
• Communicates financial clearance status to patients.
