Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Patient Access Specialist/Front Office to act as liaison between patients, payers, and hospital teams.

You will verify demographics, insurance, and collect payments to maximize reimbursement, while delivering excellent customer service at a 18-bed small-format hospital in Pittsburgh. The role requires handling registrations, consents, and document management, with night/weekend differentials and a strong focus on accuracy and empathy for patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience preferred.
• Emergency Department registration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HMO/PPO/POS, Medicare and Medicaid payors.
• Fluency in English; bilingual English/Spanish advantageous in El Paso market.

Responsabilités

• Serve as liaison between patient, payers, and hospital teams to facilitate revenue cycle.
• Verify demographics and insurance details for accurate billing.
• Collect out-of-pocket payments and explain financial responsibilities.
• Identify and triage patients upon arrival to ensure proper workflow.
• Obtain signatures on forms and consents as required.
• Maintain accurate patient registration and medical records in the system.
• Coordinate transfers to other facilities when needed.
• Respond to medical record requests from patients and providers.
