Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support a Glendale, AZ beverage production facility. On-site role focusing on high-speed filling and packaging lines, PLC programming, and troubleshooting Allen‑Bradley controls in Studio 5000.
You will mentor operators and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to improve safety, reliability, and throughput. Relocation assistance is available; 12‑hour nights, 2‑2‑3 rotation, and a 20% target
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on PLC programming, not just troubleshooting: write and modify ladder logic.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions, including PLC/HMI program changes.
- Develop and execute controls projects that improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Support commissioning, controls upgrades, new installations, and system integration projects.
