Unknown company in Glendale, AZ, seeks a Packaging Controls Engineer for the night shift to support high-speed beverage production lines on-site. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on running equipment, serving as the on-shift controls expert.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, industrial automation or a related field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation experience on high-speed production lines.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Excellent communication across plant departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues and restore production safely.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions, including PLC/HMI changes.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
