Job summary

Meijer in Flat Rock, MI is seeking an Overnight Operations Manager to lead team engagement, onboarding, training and coaching, ensuring success across all store operations. You’ll drive recognition, feedback and development as part of building a high-performing team.

You will oversee area operations and financial results, manage budgets, safety and compliance, schedule forecasting, and collaborate with Leaders to nurture talent and uphold Meijer’s culture and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and use it to decide.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking to help Meijer for growth.
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching for success.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership development.
• Conducts candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, ensuring services and products are managed to maximize sales.
• Drives safety and compliance, and maintains store condition and procedures.
• Ensures Leads assign daily work and identify training needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
