Meijer Inc. is seeking an Overnight Area Leader to manage staffing, training, and performance within the Plainwell, MI store. You will drive engagement, coaching, and development across team members while accountable for area operations and financial outcomes.

The role emphasizes identifying talent, ensuring onboarding, maintaining safety standards, and implementing process improvements to support sales and productivity growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Commitment to working safely at all times.
• Strong business acumen and merchandising understanding.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to provide onboarding, training, development, coaching and feedback.
• Talent identification and career discussions to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Ensure Meijer standards are upheld and growth opportunities are available.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budget and P&L considerations.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Guide Team Leaders and Leads in daily assignments and training needs.
