Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring an RN for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The nurse will work in a night, part-time role with a 36-hour week, providing care across oncology services and related units.

The position requires an ASN or nursing diploma, NJ RN license, and 2–3 years of medical-surgical/oncology experience, with proficient computer skills. Rotations include weekends/holidays; magnet-recognized, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

ASN or Nursing Diploma.
Proficient computer skills.
At least 2-3 years of Medical Surgical/Oncology experience.
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 7p-7:30a.
Monday – Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

The RN provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
Maintains awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
Ensures safety in practice and applies evidence-based practices.
Reports safety issues and medical errors.
Understands the patient population served.
Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members.
Sets and evaluates priorities with measurable outcomes.
