RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The role supports multiple oncology units, including trauma and cardiology, with a night schedule of 7p-7:30a and a 36-hour workweek.

Ideal candidates hold an ASN or Nursing Diploma with 2+ years of oncology experience; BSN preferred within 5 years of hire and active NJ RN license. BLS/ACLS required. Excellent teamwork and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma is required.
• 2+ Years of Oncology Experience.
• BSN preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
• ONS Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Ensure safety in practice and advance knowledge among care team.
• Report identified safety issues and medical errors.
• Be knowledgeable about the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to team members.
• Collaborate with other care providers and manage priorities with measurable outcomes.
• Use nursing process to tailor plans of care for individual patients.
