Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The role covers multiple units including trauma and neurology, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting Magnet-designated excellence.

Night shift, 36 hours per week, with occasional weekend/holiday rotation. Requires ASN or Nursing Diploma, NJ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 2–3 years in Med-Surg/Oncology.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• At least 2–3 years of Med-Surg/Oncology experience.
• Certification: BLS and ACLS; NJ RN License active.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate with care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
• Utilize nursing process to address patient needs within the care plan.
