Qualifications

• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.
• BLS certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vitals (BP, TPR, I&O, weights) and record in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision and prepare rooms.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Restock nursing area and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and nutrition needs.
• Maintain skin integrity and manage supplies such as TED hose and IPC devices.
• May remove IVs or provide post mortem care as directed.
• Adhere to infection prevention policies and use PPE appropriately.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
