Job summary

Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead a team of RNs, LPNs, and PCTs in providing nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in a safe and therapeutic environment.

The 3rd shift RN Manager works with a multidisciplinary team to provide collaborative care, prioritizing patient acuity and managing changes in patient condition, while supervising nurses and PCTs on the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Current and in good standing Registered Nurse license in Virginia.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing and supervisory roles.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work 3rd shift.
• Leadership and communication skills to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of RNs, LPNs, and PCTs in adult psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide trauma-informed care.
• Oversee patient care from admission to discharge and ensure safety.
