Job summary
The State of Connecticut's Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) in New Haven is seeking a Registered Nurse for an inpatient unit on a full-time 3rd shift (11:30pm–8:00am). You will oversee daily nursing services, provide clinical leadership, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications include four years of RN experience, CT nursing license or Compact license, and potential substitutions with relevant degrees.
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, regional, institutional or psychiatric setting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing may substitute for one year of the General Experience.
- A Master’s degree in nursing may substitute for one additional year of the General Experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily nursing services to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide clinical leadership, support, and guidance to nursing staff.
- Monitor documentation and records for accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Support policy development, long-range planning, and efficient unit operations.
- Serve as a liaison across departments and partner agencies to support integrated care.
