Job summary

SWVMHI in Marion, VA seeks a Registered Nurse II Supervisor to join its Nursing Service Team. The role features 12-hour shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotation and every-other-weekend work.

The Nurse II will lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, implement nursing care plans, manage medication administration, infection control, and documentation. Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of mental health settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in Virginia with current licensure.
• Experience leading a nursing team is preferred.
• Ability to document in electronic health records and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and geriatric populations.
• Administer medications and assess effectiveness.
• Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Develop and implement Nursing Care Plans as part of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan.
• Ensure infection prevention and control practices.
• Maintain thorough medical records and hand-off communications.
