Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Jasper, TN is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector - Associate to evaluate fabricated materials through dimensional checks, visual weld inspection, and nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant).

You will work under a Level II Inspector to ensure contract spec conformance and maintain NDT records. The role requires strong math, measurement, and communication with production teams; safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 5+ years of work/educational experience or Associates Degree with 2+ years experience or Bachelors Degree
• 2 years’ experience in fabricated steel environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations, including conversion of fractions to decimals
• Ability to use basic measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Level I NDT certifications or ability to obtain Level I within 90 days
• Operate NDT testing equipment and work with plant staff
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines and minimize errors
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Testing and evaluation of products to ensure conformance to specs.
• Make decisions in codes and specs under Level II guidance.
• Interpret NDT reports and assess quality acceptance with supervision.
• Authority to reject material or stop work to minimize loss.
• Work under production conditions with timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain essential tools and equipment and related records.
• Participate in safety practices and follow Valmont policies.
• Maintain timely and consistent attendance.
