Job summary

Valmont Industries in El Dorado, KS seeks an NDT Inspector - Associate to evaluate fabricated materials through dimensional checks, visual weld inspection, and nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, mag particle, penetrant). You will generate NDT reports, coordinate with the Quality area, and ensure timely production while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a High School diploma with 5+ years experience or an Associate/Bachelor’s in relevant fields and Level I NDT capabilities or

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 5+ years of work/educational experience or Associate's Degree with 2+ years' experience or Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years’ experience in fabricated steel environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations, including conversion of fractions to decimals
• Ability to use basic measuring tools, such as tape measure, calipers, fillet weld gauges, and levels (digital and conventional) to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Level I NDT certifications or be able to obtain Level I certification within 90 days
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate examination results and determine if material meets contract specifications.
• Responsible for generating and maintaining NDT reports and records for company and contractors.
• Coordinate of the Quality area to meet production goals and communicate within the work group.
• Maintain timely and consistent attendance and ensure safety and environmental policies are followed.
