Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in El Dorado, KS is seeking an NDT Inspector - Associate to evaluate fabrication by dimensional checks, visual weld inspection, and nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant). The position reports to the Quality Supervisor and requires Level I NDT certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Starting wage is $27.93/hr. Shifts are 5:00 am–5:30 pm, Fri–Sun; 36 hours paid as 40, and duties include maintaining NDT reports,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with required experience in steel fabrication or equivalent.
• 2+ years in fabricated steel environment or related roles.
• Ability to perform basic math and convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, gauges) for dimensional accuracy.
• Level I NDT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment and communicate with teams.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products for conformance to specifications.
• Make decisions under guidance of a NDT Inspector - Intermediate regarding codes and specs.
• Interpret NDT reports and assess quality acceptance with supervision.
• Reject material or halt work to minimize risk and losses.
• Maintain workflow in the area and report issues to the supervisor.
• Generate and maintain NDT reports and records for company and contractors.
