Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring an NDT Inspector - Associate for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 2:30 am, Mon–Thu) to evaluate fabricated materials using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant methods under a Level II framework.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely reporting within a manufacturing setting in El Dorado, KS. The ideal candidate has a strong background in NDT with 2+ years in fabricated steel, plus Level I certification readiness or higher; you’ll coordinate

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma and 5+ years experience or an Associate’s Degree with 2+ years experience or Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years experience in fabricated steel environment
• Level I NDT certifications or ability to obtain Level I within 90 days
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment
• Strong communication with plant staff and customers
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products to ensure conformance to specifications
• Make decisions on codes and specs under guidance
• Interpret NDT reports and assess qualityacceptance
• Possess authority to reject material or stop work to minimize losses
• Maintain workflow and report issues to supervisor
• Generate and maintain NDT reports and records
