Job summary

Celgard, LLC, based in Concord, NC, is seeking a Manufacturing Tech – Night Shift to join the production team. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires working a 12-hour night schedule (5:50pm–6:00am) on a 2-2-3 cycle in a 24/7 facility.

The starting pay is $23.00/hour with a night-shift differential and potential overtime; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered with staged payments. High School diploma and 3+ years in plastics/film manufacturing are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of industry experience in plastics/film/polymer coating manufacturing.
• Ability to operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills and ability to learn software programs and scanners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing equipment including Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deplyers, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers.
• Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment meeting facility standards.
• Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for material transactions and process control.
• Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests per written specs.
• Train others and participate in cross-functional teams as needed.
