Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Concord, NC is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Tech – Day Shift to join the production team and work 12‑hour days on a 2‑2‑3 schedule. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and operates in a 24/7 site.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in plastics, film, battery or polymer coating manufacturing, with a strong safety and quality mindset and the ability to learn new equipment and software. Starting pay is $27/hour with overtime opportunities and a $1000 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in plastics/film/battery/polymer coating manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and attendance.
• Able to operate multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in learning new software and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deplyers, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers.
• Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.
• Maintain records and interface with multiple software programs for material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection and SPC.
• Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to specs.
