Job summary

Celgard is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Tech – Night Shift for our Concord, NC site. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and operates on a 2-2-3, 12-hr night schedule (5:50pm–6:00am). The position offers a $27/hour starting wage, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus and overtime eligibility.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years in plastics/battery/polymer coating manufacturing. Strong safety focus, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in plastics, film, battery or polymer coating manufacturing.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and attendance.
• Ability to operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with computer software and scanners, and the ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and sense of urgency.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities; promote continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow safety, environmental and health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate diverse film manufacturing equipment (Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, etc.).
• Troubleshoot production problems and monitor equipment.
• Keep a clean, safe and organized workspace meeting standards.
• Maintain records and interface with software for material transactions and process control.
• Perform routine quality checks and document observations for engineers.
• Train and support team members; participate in cross-functional teams.
