Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Concord, NC, seeks a Manufacturing Tech – Day Shift to join the production team. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and operates on a 12-hour day shift (5:50am–6:00pm) on a 2-2-3 schedule with 24/7 site operations.

The starting pay is $23.00/hour with overtime possible and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The job emphasizes safety, quality and teamwork in a high-paced plastics/film manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in plastics, film, or polymer coating manufacturing.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and attendance.
• Ability to operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills and ability to learn different software programs and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including extruders, laminators, ovens, deplyers, slitters, coaters, mixers.
• Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
• Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection, testing, and SPC.
• Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment meeting facility standards.
