Job summary

Celgard is seeking a Manufacturing Tech for the Day Shift in Concord, NC, to join our production team. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires operating and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position offers a 12-hour day shift (5:50am-6:00pm) on a 2-2-3 schedule with OT opportunities and a $23.00/hour starting pay plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in plastics, film, or polymer coating manufacturing.
• Commitment to safety, quality and attendance.
• Ability to operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills and the ability to learn different software programs and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deploys, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers.
• Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.
• Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection, testing, and SPC.
• Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.
