Job summary

Amcor Des Moines seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the night shift, driving safety, quality, and productivity while managing people, processes, and equipment. You will champion policies, manage time and payroll, and coordinate schedules to meet customer requirements.

You will mentor a high-performance team, foster continuous improvement, and ensure training and development. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years in operations or production supervision; 5+ years acceptable.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety leader and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Monitor colleague practices for safety and quality compliance.
• Investigate near misses and incidents and recommend improvements.
• Support safety audits, GEMBAs, and continuous improvement programs.
• Oversee daily production to meet goals and standards.
• Manage timecards and ensure accurate payroll coverage.
• Drive continuous improvement projects and sustain gains.
• Coordinate production schedules and identify efficiency gains.
• Resolve equipment and material issues with Maintenance & Engineering.
• Lead performance reviews and develop career growth.
• Enforce disciplinary processes consistently and fairly.
• Ensure training is current and retention of concepts.
