Job summary

Futaba North America Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Manager to oversee night shift operations in our Indiana facility. You will direct production activities, supervise night shift teams, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires extensive manufacturing management experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum experience; 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role in an automotive or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• May travel occasionally by auto and/or airplane.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing of the night shift team.
• Lead and manage all aspects of the night shift production process to meet goals efficiently.
• Review schedules and orders to decide on inventory, staffing, and procedures within budget and time constraints.
• Supervise and mentor night shift supervisors and team members to promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions to uphold standards and customer specs.
• Directly resolve production or processing problems with technical or administrative staff.
• Enforce safety policies to ensure a safe workplace.
• Initiate kaizen and cost-control programs.
• Prepare production reports and records; set and monitor product standards.
