Job summary

First Solar is seeking a maintenance technician to perform on-site upkeep of the facility, equipment, and grounds in a timely, cost-efficient manner. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of maintenance experience and knowledge of manufacturing equipment, CMMS, and reading schematics.

Responsibilities include daily assignments, on-site repairs, safety compliance, and collaboration with other departments. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience or 5+ years in related field.
• 2-year technical school plus 3+ years experience acceptable; Journeyman card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• On-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of estimated repair times.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings.
• May train other employees.
• May fill in as Team Lead when needed.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Notify EHS about hazardous waste questions or concerns.
• Manage waste generated from work performed.
• Other duties as assigned.
