Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform on-site service and repair of facility equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will follow PM schedules, read electrical and mechanical drawings, and collaborate across departments to minimize downtime. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of maintenance experience, or a 2-year technical program with 3+ years, plus CMMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years maintenance experience, or 5+ years in related field, or 2-year technical school plus 3+ years experience.
• Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprentice program preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• May train other employees or fill in as Team Lead if needed.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
