Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform on-site service and repair of facility and equipment, ensuring timely, cost-efficient operations and adhering to safety standards.

You will meet 90% of repair time estimates and collaborate with other departments to maintain production readiness. A strong background in maintenance and CMMS is required, with the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience
• Journeyman’s Card preferred
• Experience in maintenance or related field is acceptable

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows standard OSHA, EPA, and Company safe practices on all work assignments.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings.
• May be asked to train other employees.
• If no tech III is available may be asked to fill in as Team Lead.
• Read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Adheres to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Notify EHS about hazardous waste concerns.
• Manage waste generated from work.
• Other duties as assigned.
