Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing of large manufacturing equipment. You will identify root causes of breakdowns, record parts, and prepare reports while maintaining a clean, organized shop floor and coordinating with supervisors for scheduled maintenance.

The role requires reading schematics, basic computer literacy, and strong communication skills. Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints.
• Proficient with basic computer entry and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and repair quickly to reduce downtime.
• Record and report damaged parts and install replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, tools, and inventory.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with departments on new products and modifications.
• Implement tests and make adjustments based on results.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead or participate in solutions.
• Wear PPE and promote a zero-accident culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
