Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on large manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and document work performed.

The role requires reading schematics, good communication, and adherence to safety protocols. The position involves coordinating with managers for scheduled maintenance, assisting in equipment modifications, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Formación

• Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in manufacturing
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipment
• Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate program
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working condition
• Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machine
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as needed
• Prepare reports documenting work performed
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
• Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required
• Make necessary modifications and implement tests runs; confer with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation
• Wear PPE in all areas where mandatory to promote a zero-accident culture
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
