Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a full-time night shift at the Westerville Freestanding Emergency Department. The role requires Ohio LPN licensure, BLS certification, and a 36-hour workweek across three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekend and holiday rotation.

The LPN will provide nursing care, perform assessments, collaborate with the care team, and support patient and family needs while adhering to Ohio Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LPN license issued by the state of Ohio.
• High School diploma or GED required; BLS certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Ohio Board of Nursing rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients and families along the health-illness continuum.
• Document assessments, plan care and coordinate with health care team.
• Perform ongoing assessments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Participate in process improvement and maintain a safe environment.
