Job summary

Forward Air Corporation seeks a Customer Relations Coordinator to deliver front-line administrative and customer service support for shipments across multimodal networks. You will be the primary contact for customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams, handling scheduling, tracking, documentation, and billing tasks.

This on-site night-shift role pays $18.05 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential and requires a high school diploma with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• Experience in customer service or logistics preferred; training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
• Proficient with Windows and Office 365; good communication.
• On-site role with ability to travel for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of contact for customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Provide front-line customer service by responding to shipment status inquiries and documentation requests.
• Data entry for shipment details, customer instructions, orders, and records.
• Track and trace shipments and communicate updates to customers and teams.
• Coordinate scheduling for pickups, deliveries, and appointments.
• Prepare shipping documents such as AWBs, BOLs, labels, and POD.
• Support site activities including freight acceptance and paperwork handling.
• Assist with AR/AP and billing tasks, invoice prep and reconciliation.
• Maintain organized files for shipment and financial documentation.
• Communicate with carriers, warehouses, dispatch, and operations teams.
• Identify routine service issues and elevate to operations leadership.
• Support administrative tasks like mail processing and record updates.
• Participate in training and process-improvement activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
