Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement, plan and optimize shipments, tender freight to third-party carriers, and provide shipment visibility. The role requires detailed tracking, issue resolution, and proactive communication with customers and internal teams.

Primary responsibilities include load-building, carrier coverage, and maintaining accurate shipment information across systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred for business or supply chain.
• Experience in Transportation/Supply Chain is preferred (1+ year).
• Must learn and operate multiple computer systems across platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Load-building: add shipments to loads, rate loads, secure carrier coverage, set appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts.
• Manage call center and shared email box responsibilities.
• Provide shipment visibility and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Recover customer loads and maintain daily logs and trackers.
