Job summary

Penske Logistics in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement and customer service. You will process customer orders, plan and optimize shipments into loads using Transportation Manager System, tender freight to third-party carriers, and update the system with shipment information, providing visibility to management and customers.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.
• 1+ year of Transportation/Supply Chain experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load-building: add shipments to a load, rate, secure carrier coverage and set appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts.
• Call center and shared email box responsibility.
• Provide visibility to management and customers by tracking shipments and investigating issues.
• Recover customer loads and maintain daily logs and trackers.
• Other projects as assigned by supervisor.
