Job summary
Endeavor Health is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist for night shifts at Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role runs 36 hours weekly with 7:00 pm–7:30 am shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.
You will coordinate daily shift activities, lead therapists, ensure patient care standards, and adapt staffing as needed to maintain quality care. Required: CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program, IL license, CPR (AHA), and RRT/NALS/PALS certifications; 3 years of experience; NEO/
Qualifications
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily shift activities and provision of employee assistance in order to perform job functions.
- Plan and organize the daily shift activities of the Respiratory Therapy therapists and technicians.
- Ensure department standards in patient care, departmental performance improvements and budgetary compliance are adhered to by staff.
- Adjust daily shift work assignments due to fluctuations in workloads, staffing and/or unexpected events.
- Provide leadership, assist with assessments, and initiate orders according to the patient assessment and protocol treatment program.
