Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for weekend night shifts on a full-time basis. The role includes performing and teaching all forms of respiratory therapy, managing arterial blood gases, and guiding pulmonary function testing, with travel to Plainfield Hospital as needed.

The candidate must be an RRT, hold IL licensure, and maintain CPR certification. Strong knowledge of acid-base balance and cardiopulmonary physiology is expected for optimal patient

Qualifications

• AMA approved school for respiratory therapy (eligibility to take NBRC exams)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, required
• Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, required
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) required

Responsibilities

• Perform and guide various respiratory therapy modalities and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
• Assess patients across all ages and tailor treatment plans with family involvement.
• Explain procedures and home care instructions to patients and families.
• Maintain records, supervise staff, and participate in department education and disaster plans.
