Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem shifts at Evanston Hospital. Hours vary 7pm–7am, with weekends and holidays as needed.

You will assist physicians and deliver respiratory therapy across neonatal to geriatric patients according to hospital policy. Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-accredited RT program, IL licensure within 6 months, and CPR certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months.

Formación

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC) is required.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• RRT or registry-eligible status required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS required within 24 months of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe verbal or phone orders.
• Communicate treatment details to patients and families clearly.
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy, with focus on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.
