Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Mountain View is seeking a Lead BMS Console Operator to monitor building automation systems and ensure alarms are managed per schedule. The role is aligned with the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the IUOE Local 39 and involves collaboration with site mechanics and BAS engineers.

The position requires 3 years of experience, a high school diploma, and a solid understanding of BAS and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience.
• General understanding of building automation systems with emphasis on Siemens Desigo/Insight, Honeywell EBI, Web CTRL Autologic, etc.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and how it is controlled and alarmed in industrial/commercial environments.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the alarm screen of various BMS systems.
• Perform virtual tours to check equipment against design parameters or schedules.
• Troubleshoot with site mechanics and HVAC techs and control equipment during maintenance.
• Monitor and dispatch alarms on BMS systems.
• Document all changes to the BMS via an Electronic Document system.
• Notify end users during off hours about alarms and issues.
• Review Pass down emails and last shift reports for awareness.
• Review open Priority Work Orders in Corrigo.
• Review alarm screens from the previous 24 hours.
• Ensure Virtual Tours are completed and documented.
• Ensure training for each is completed on time.
• Mentor Operators in BAS system review and alarm troubleshooting.
• Escalate major incidents to clients and engineers.
