Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Labor and Delivery registered nurse for a night shift in the Queen Creek area. You will work within the Women and Infants Services department, providing family-centered obstetric care with a skilled team of obstetricians, CNMs, and neonatal staff.

The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and collaborative practice to support mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, and postpartum in a high-quality, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital is preferred with 1 year in the past 12 months.
• Arizona-specific clearances or certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan nursing care according to policies and professional standards.
• Formulate and implement care plans, including discharge planning, with patient/family input.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise/coordinate care by other licensed staff.
• Communicate patient status clearly to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Promote evidence-based care and participate in unit/shared leadership activities.
