Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery on the night shift. The role involves circulating to OR, postpartum, and triage with autonomy on a Magnet-designated unit and approximately 500 deliveries per month.

Qualified candidates must have prior RN L&D experience and an active RN license with BLS. The unit offers a fast-paced environment, supportive leadership, and opportunities for professional growth within Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Prior RN L&D experience is required.
• Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social and cultural dimensions and plan appropriate nursing care.
• Implement the plan of care and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, plans and patient responses in the medical record.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust plans as needed; provide teaching to patient and family.
• Promote continuity of care and effective communication among caregivers.
