Job summary
Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced RN to join the Labor and Delivery team. This full-time DAY shift role focuses on guiding mothers and their newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
You will circulate and assist with C-sections, support antepartum and postpartum nursing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, family-centered care. At least 1 year in L&D and active RN license with BLS are required.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed RN in state of practice
- BLS certification required
- Experience in Labor & Delivery required (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to circulate and recover C-Sections, transition newborns, and support antepartum/postpartum care
Responsibilities
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge needs.
- Formulate and revise plan of care with multidisciplinary team.
- Provide direct patient care and supervise others as needed.
- Document care accurately in patient records and communicate status to care team.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of staff and contribute to quality improvement.
