Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Interfacility Transport Respiratory Care Practitioner for 3rd shift, based in Elmhurst, IL. The role delivers advanced respiratory care during pediatric and neonatal transports and coordinates with the Transport Medical Control Physician to ensure patient safety and successful interfacility transfers.

Qualifications include Illinois RCP license, BLS and PALS, and 3+ years in pediatric/neonatal respiratory care; sign-on and relocation bonuses are offered,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of respiratory experience with neonatal/pediatric focus preferred
• Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS and PALS certifications or equivalent required
• Experience with interfacility transport protocols and TMCP coordination helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients during interfacility transports (ground, rotor, and fixed wing)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy interventions under TMCP direction
• Collaborate with Transport RN and TMCP to modify transport plan as patient condition changes
• Demonstrate leadership in safety, documentation, and equipment readiness during transport
