You will perform respiratory care, operate ventilators, and collaborate with physicians to support patient care. Education required includes an associate degree in respiratory care and state NBRC credentials; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree.
• RCP license and NBRC credential (RRT or CRT) within required timeline.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using pulmonary diagnostics and blood gas analysis.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures as applicable.
• Educate patients on purpose, technique, self-care and therapy goals.
• Ensure equipment is clean, functioning and maintained.
• Promote safety and timely patient handoffs.
