Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an Interfacility Transport Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver specialized respiratory care during mobile transports for neonatal and pediatric patients, with potential adult cases. The role requires strong clinical judgment, adherence to protocols, and teamwork with transport colleagues.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, and execution of transport care, and active participation in safety and quality initiatives across transport

Qualifications

At least 3 years of respiratory experience (or 4000 hours) with a focus on critical care (peds/neonatal preferred).
RRT credential required.
NPS required within 6 months of hire.
Interfacility transport experience preferred.
Earn 15 continuing education credits annually related to transport medicine or neonatal/pediatric care.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care in interfacility transports (ground/air) for neonatal, pediatric, and select adult patients.
Collaborate with Transport RN and TMCP to plan and execute safe transport.
Follow standing protocols and ensure timely documentation and hand-over.

3+ years respiratory experience

RRT certification

NPS certification within 6 months
