Job summary

Emerus in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift (7pm-7am) in a 16-bed small-format hospital. This PRN role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care with emphasis on safety and privacy.

The RN will follow physician orders, perform admissions/discharges, and support infection control, lab procedures, and equipment preparation in a patient-centered environment emphasizing teamwork and diverse care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with no sanctions.
• 2+ years RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or related healthcare positions.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• English fluency in written and spoken communication.
• Act 33/Act 73 clearances may be required for PA RNs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-specific, competent nursing care.
• Follow physician orders in nursing care delivery.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Collect lab specimens and perform tests per policies and CLIA/COLA.
• Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Prepare equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
• Ensure care aligns with state nursing standards.
