Job summary

Emerus is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in a 16-bed small-format hospital. The night shift (7pm–7am) ER RN will assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care, ensuring privacy and safety in accordance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include documenting records, monitoring patients, following physician orders, and participating in quality assessments. Must hold RN licensure and relevant ER experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS required with ENPC substitution possible.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or similar experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC substitution allowed; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency required; written and spoken.
• Pennsylvania clearance requirements may apply; start date considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record vital signs and patient symptoms.
• Follow physician orders in delivering care and maintain infection control.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assist with specimen collection and lab testing as per policy.
