Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for night shifts in a small-format hospital setting. The role focuses on assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room, ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families.

Essential duties include accurate documentation, adherence to physician orders, labs collection, infection control, admissions/discharges/transfers, and collaboration with the care team to deliver timely, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years RN ER or similar experience, required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA/Red Cross active, TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in writing and speaking.
• PA candidates: Act 33/Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER, directing patient care.
• Complete accurate, legible documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Support interventions and outcomes, ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow physician orders and infection-control procedures.
• Collect labs and perform testing per policy and regulations.
• Assist in admissions, discharges, and transfers; participate in care planning and evaluation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures and assist others as needed.
