Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a part-time, night-shift switchboard operator to support hospital operations. You will manage calls, maintain logs, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with a courteous demeanor.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of switchboard experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Flexible scheduling, including nights and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Customer service skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Bi-lingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate switchboard and direct calls.
• Maintain an operational call log of activities, requests, and issues.
• Cultivate knowledge of hospital disaster codes and announce them per procedure.
• Assist patients, visitors, physicians and staff with a courteous, professional manner.
• Answer calls promptly, courteously, and accurately.
• Update on-call lists for staff as notified of changes.
