Job summary

GBMC HealthCare's Gilchrist Hospice seeks compassionate Hospice Aides (CNA/GNA) to join overnight teams at Towson, Baltimore, and Howard centers. You will provide personal care, assist with meals and mobility, and support comfort under RN supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, one year of relevant experience (nursing program enrollment acceptable), and current Maryland CNA registration. Night differential and on-site parking are offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hospice or patient-care experience preferred; enrollment in a nursing program accepted in lieu of experience.
• Current Maryland CNA registration required.
• Hospice experience with dying patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, grooming, and feeding assistance.
• Assist with bedpans, urinals and linen changes as assigned.
• Take and record basic vital signs when ordered.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort; report changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility under supervision.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and assist with light laundry.
