Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hospice Philosophy.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to manage issues related to death and dying.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation.
• Ability to show empathy toward ill, frail, and dying patients.
• Competence in safety handling medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as baths, feeding assistance, and hygiene.
• Observe safety needs and use equipment properly.
• Record vital signs and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility as directed.
• Help with light laundry and keep patient room orderly.
• Support family and provide respite when on-site.
